Deceased – Capt(Retd) Brian ‘Nobby’ Noble

It is with great sadness, that I have to inform you of the death of our close friend Brian Noble.

As many know Brian had struggled with Cancer for some time. Sadly Brian died on Sunday 27th July 2025.

Brian and I were Platoon Sergeants together in Alma Company in Minden with the 1st Bn. Much later Brian served as CSM Somme Company and as RSM with the Gurkhas in Hong Kong and also RSM at 4 Yorks in Huddersfield. Brian was later commissioned and served as both Families Officer and MTO in the 1st Bn. Brian held the post of PSAO in Middlesborough, 4 Yorks on retirement.

Brian is survived by his devoted wife Cath and son and daughter Richard and Beverley.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday 13 August 2025 at 11.30 am at:

Would all ‘Dukes’ attending, please wear a Regimental Tie and medals if appropriate.

Afterwards friends and family will gather at The Willerby Barn, HU10 6 NT for light refreshments.
