Fred Greenwood
The Association was advised of the death of Fred Greenwood, on the 19th of October, 2018.
Fred served in Korea, at the Hook, and later in Gibraltar.
He was born on 13th January, 1934. He joined the ‘Dukes’ as a National Serviceman. After being de-mobbed Fred settled in Hubberton making many friends in the local community.
His wife died in 2006 and since then he relied on his friends and family greatly, until he needed specialist care in his later years, following the enduring effects of a stroke.
His funeral was held at St Peter’s Church, Sowerby Bridge, on the 7th of November, 2018.
